September 2026 - A Message from the Muse
Hello, Beloved Souls,
I know I’ve been absent for a little while. But sometimes, absence simply means something is being created behind the scenes. And trust me... some very regal doors are about to open. For months, I’ve been planning, dreaming, sketching, and writing about an idea that is actually a very old practice: Snail Mail.
There is something exciting about receiving something created specifically for you, delivered to your mailbox. It’s something tangible, something you can hold in your hands, unfold, keep, revisit, and perhaps even tuck away in a special place. It couldn't be ordinary snail mail, and of course it had to include my favorite ancient ingredient: cacao. “The Chocolate City Society” is born.
As I wrote the Chronicles of Chocolate City, layers and layers of ideas for a majestic planet, in a far-off galaxy, just kept flowing into my awareness. I just figured I’d use them in the next book, since it will definitely be a series, but then this tender, sweet idea came to mind, and I sketched, stayed up late at night, and wrote a ton of notes that became the quiet architecture of something I knew was meant to become bigger than a newsletter. Now, it is almost ready, and next month, it steps out of the workshop and into your hands.
What Is Chocolate City Society?
The Chocolate City Society is your standing invitation into the Cocoverse. It isn't a subscription in the ordinary sense. It is membership in an entirely different world. Chocolate City, to be exact. A realm in a distant galaxy, inhabited by fairies, queens, guardians, and keepers of ancient wisdom. It's a place where chocolate is more than something you eat. It's part of the culture, part of the magic, and part of the way of life.
The Society was created for those who want to go deeper. Those who want more than a glimpse of Chocolate City through a social post or a newsletter. Those who want to know its stories, discover its characters, explore its traditions, learn about its strange and wonderful happenings, and receive little pieces of the city directly in their own mailbox. Think of it as your personal invitation through the veil. Each month, something from Chocolate City will find its way to you.

Why Now?
Velah & Co. has always been more than a chocolate brand. It is a living mythology. As a matter of fact, the very first Velah & Co. exists in Chocolate City, on Chocolate Earth, a realm in a distant galaxy where six Dynasties live in perfect, or perhaps near-perfect, harmony. It’s a world filled with history, mystery, magic, chocolate, herbs, ancient wisdom, and characters who begin to feel like family because, in many ways, they are.
For a solid year, I’ve been building this world one story at a time. Now I want to give you another way to experience it. The books will tell you the stories; Chocolate City Society will allow you to step inside the world instead of simply reading about it. And if you are one of those curious souls who wants to know where it all began, you will also have the opportunity to choose a Society package that includes my book, The Chronicles of Chocolate City: Velah Returns, coming this month.
